Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Viberide platform, mobile application, or website (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. Viberide reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, with notice provided through the platform.

2. The Service

Viberide provides a technology platform that connects riders with independent drivers for transportation services. Viberide does not provide transportation services directly. Drivers using the platform are independent contractors, not employees of Viberide. The Service also includes hotel booking through partner establishments and AI-assisted ride booking.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Promptly update any changes to your information
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

Viberide reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or provide fraudulent information.

4. Rider Terms

• You agree to pay the fare displayed before confirming a ride
• Cancellation fees may apply after a driver has been dispatched
• You must provide a valid pickup location and treat drivers with respect
• You are responsible for the conduct of any passengers you add to your ride
• Viberide is not liable for items left in vehicles, though we will assist in recovery efforts

5. Driver Terms

• Drivers must maintain a valid Nigerian driver's license at all times
• Vehicles must meet Viberide's safety and condition standards
• Drivers must maintain valid vehicle insurance and registration
• Drivers agree to continuous identity verification including periodic NIN checks
• Drivers must follow the designated route unless directed otherwise by the rider
• Route deviations are monitored and may result in account review

Drivers are independent contractors and are responsible for their own taxes, vehicle maintenance, and compliance with local regulations.

6. Safety Features

Viberide provides safety features including but not limited to:

• GPS-based ride deviation detection and alerts
• Emergency services integration with pre-loaded ride details
• Live location sharing with trusted contacts
• Continuous driver verification

While we strive to enhance safety, these features supplement — and do not replace — your personal judgment and awareness. Viberide does not guarantee the prevention of all safety incidents.

7. Payments & Pricing

• All fares are quoted in Nigerian Naira (NGN)
• Prices may vary based on demand, distance, time, and ride type
• Payment is processed at the end of each ride
• Viberide charges a service commission on each fare
• Promotional pricing and discounts are subject to specific terms
• Hotel booking payments are subject to partner hotel terms

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against riders or drivers
• Provide false information or impersonate another person
• Tamper with or attempt to circumvent safety features
• Use the platform to transport illegal goods or substances
• Share your account credentials with others
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Viberide shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Viberide's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to Viberide in the 12 months preceding the claim. This does not affect your statutory rights under Nigerian consumer protection law.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall first be resolved through Viberide's internal complaint resolution process. If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to mediation and, if necessary, to the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may delete your account through the app or by contacting support. Viberide may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, or safety concerns. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
